What a Sunday

I just finished a whirlwind trip home, and also to a prayer service for a double-first cousin of my Dad. Saskatchewan is now short another farmer, and a kind man. I ate supper at the JH Cafe with my parents and the Zahariuks (spelling?). It rained, misted, or fogged the whole day, and is going to freeze tonight in Regina. My garden hasn’t sprouted yet, but I just remembered some plants on my deck have, yikes, better bring those in… The rain has been nice though, it’s been too long without any.

Only the Company of Thieves

Imagine having no one check on you, for almost 30 years. It’s hard to imagine that happening in an apartment building, but somehow, Europe pulled it off. Neighbours broke into the apartment of a dead woman, and they found her.. in bed.. dead. They were understandably startled. No word in the story if they’ll be charged with breaking and entering, if that’s even a crime in Croatia right now?

US Releases AP Reporter

I heard about this on As It Happens last Friday. It’s terrible what the States did to him, and how long it took for him to be free.

Virtual mourning? More like “mourning in the digital age”. I have a post queued up for when I die (or forget about blogging for a-very-long-time).
