You can find my blog here.

You might be wondering from the title of this page, “What book has Saskboy written, and where have I seen him on TV?” Those would be valid questions and I can understand your confusion, because I’ve not yet had a book deal, or a major starring role on TV or in a movie. In fact I’ve not written a book, or appeared on any TV other than the news and as a contestant on CBC’s Test The Nation (Jan. 20 2008). But I have appeared on a Springfield Illinois radio program as a guest expert on foil hats for pets, and been a caller or tipster for John Gormley Live, the Murray Wood Show, and the David Kirton Show on CJME.com.
Hopefully you’re not feeling miffed or duped by opening this page while thinking I’m some kind of celebrity. But imagine if you didn’t click this page and just assumed I was an author or TV pundit? Would you be looking at my blog differently if you thought I was more well known than just being “another blogger” on the gianormous World Wide Web?
Oh, just because I haven’t written a book, or taken acting, voice, or anger management lessons doesn’t mean I wouldn’t enjoy a publisher or media outlet asking me to work with them. If you’re looking for a charming, witty, brilliant, handsome, and modest guy to appear on your product, I have a friend who’d love to hear from you. OK, actually I’m that guy, and I might not be charming, witty, brilliant, or handsome, but I can be modest and know a lot about foil hats, technology, and politics, so if that is useful to you, give me an email and we’ll “do lunch”.

Saskboy trivia buffs* may be interested to know that I’ve shot a news item in 1997 as a CKCK Newswatcher, appeared on CBC news in a report on Wood Mountain’s water, been a guest on WMAY Springfield Talk radio, phoned CJME.com on several occasions, and had a video clip of a Rider game played on John Gormley Live, featured on Z99.com and Global Regina TV news. I was a guest answering questions about the Canadian Blog Awards on the Dave Arnold Morning Show, and CBC Blue Sky. I’ve appeared in several newspapers including the Assiniboia Times as a contributor, the UofR Carillon, Prairie Dog, and Yorkton This Week. My left ear appeared live on a national CBC broadcast of the Governor General’s celebration of music in 2002 at Rideau Hall, Ottawa. The Toronto Sun and The Star featured IJustWetMyPants satire I wrote in June 2006. And even though they may deny it now, I’ve also had a quote regarding international trade published by eBay.ca in promotional literature where my eBay ID of computer_saskboy was listed as the source of the quote.
P.S. Wow, navel gazing is fun. I’m remembering all the times I got to either see my work noticed by the media, or my life peered at by others. I just remembered that humour author Dave Barry liked my Pet Foil Hat and added a link to it on his blog, and CNN Headline News featured one of the first foil hat auctions I ran in October of 2003.
*As if there are Saskboy trivia buffs out there. Get real! I’m writing this for mostly my own benefit, and you know it.
