Now I know what you mean by democracy, Saskboy. Care to find a single poll of the general population that supports this?

Hilarious. You’re taking online polls over the results of a general election?

We all voted in the same federal elections this fall. We all voted for a local member of Parliament. Nothing more. Nothing less. At no point did anyone vote for a prime minister.
If the coalition comes to pass, it will reflect, democratically, the will of the majority of voters.

I agree, the coalition is completely democratic and would represent the will of the people; more people voted for those MPs than for the Conservatives.
The thing that suprises me is how little people know about our form of democracy! We’re not the USA people, we don;t elect presidents, we elect Members of Parliament, they (the party) chooses the Prime Minister. The PM Gets the Opportunity to form a government IF they get a majority, or in the case of a minority the support of most of the MPs
I am glad my MP is representing me now.
