Gosh darnit, I missed the fireball that streaked over Saskatchewan and Alberta tonight. I only heard about it at 8:00PM, an hour and a half after it passed overhead. The Wolf 104.9 was talking about it, and making jokes of course. There are security cameras with footage on CTV.
Last year I saw a fireball in the northward direction from Regina, at the same time my neighbours did and remarked loudly that something was in the sky. I turned around and caught it in time to see it. I saw another fireball that turned green in the clouds in 1999, over Weyburn. The latest was said to have caused shockwaves on the ground. Awesome!
I wouldn’t put too much weight in claims from people supposedly knowing where it came down (if it did), until they stand over the cold hard evidence. And they’d be quite lucky to do so, as they could become thousands of dollars richer by finding a meteorite.

I saw the fireball really well. We were on the highway north of Oyen, Alberta and had a great view of it. Everything lit up just like day for a few seconds.

Awesome Tim!
Some friends of my parents saw it, driving from south of Assiniboia, SK.

We saw it too, up here in Bonnyville. It was incredibly clear, and a once in a lifetime event. Very cool. Have they found the pieces yet?

Not that I’ve heard of. Spaceweather.com will probably have updates when/if they do.
