This is just too priceless. What’s even funnier than the Fisherman claiming that he might pull the plug? That parliament is chaotic because of the Liberals! Just who is in charge???

One funny poop story led me to another odd one about a criminal. Have a look at the turd — the art, not the criminal.

Minority government: of course it’s chaos and dysfunctional! And what do you mean “Just who is in charge?” What, do you think a minority government can fix that?

Minority governments don’t have to be chaotic and dysfunctional, that’s the point. If Harper were “the leader” that he claims to be, wouldn’t you think he’d find a way to communicate and work with the Liberals, NDP, and other parties involved in committees? Instead, he has some MPs walking out of committee meetings!

Exactly right Saskboy. Stephen Harper is complaining that parliament is dysfunctional because he can’t push his agenda as he would be able to in a majority situation. Unfortunately for him, he is the leader of a minority parliament. This means that the Canadian people didn’t want a majority conservative government and by extension, didn’t want conservative styled public policy.
Stephen Harper’s job in this case was to work with the liberals to compromise and make effective laws for Canadians. he hasn’t achieved this and if it’s anyone’s fault, it’s Harper’s for childishly refusing to let go of his core agenda.
The liberals hold the power to halt his legislation and that’s just the way it’s supposed to be in a minority parliament. Perhaps harper’s conservatives would have gotten more done for Canadians if he were to simply acknowledge that Canadians didn’t give him a majority government and rightly so.
