It's quite clear now that Prentice is not going to answer any real life scenario questions, he's only going to stammer, and talk about "balance" in the hopes that the interviewer doesn't ask again when he's done rambling and dodging. Expect him to run away Helena Geurgis-style, like when she escaped the media in a Canadian Tire over the Brenda Martin debacle.

This is a pattern for the Conservatives. They cut and run. They are cut and runners. They flee ribbon cuttings. They escape down back stairways from secret media events. They hang up on CBC short of scheduled time (I'd thought it was close to 10 minutes exactly, but CC is right, he didn't even give 10 minutes as promised.).

As people were saying on Geist's facebook group, we need only play Prentice's words in court, and that ought to get us off the hook for nearly anything. If the Minister who wrote the law can't even be clear about what it means, how is a judge supposed to know? How is this to make it clear for the market that has supposedly demanded clarity?

I'll look into the preview button, CC. There are several things this theme is missing. It was supposed to only be temporary, but Penlan and others have said they like it better, so I'll see if I can tweak this and have it grow on me.

As I pointed out on my blog, while Prentice promised to give Brown 10 minutes, he cut the interview off after less than eight.

Prentice really is a spineless, little douchebag. You can almost smell the fear.

P.S. You know what would be really neat here? A preview button.

That interview with Prentice, was ridiculous. Just enough time for him to say his spin (perhaps not technically false, but certainly misleading) and no time for a follow up by Jesse.

What I would love to see is Prentice answer some tough questions (with follow up) by Michael Geist. A long interview (30+ mins) where Canadians can get a spin free version of what this bill do and what it wont.

As a Canadian I don't think this is to much to ask, but I also know that there is almost no chance in hell that Prentice will do this.

Sure, rub it in that you're in Ottawa ;-)

Don't worry, there will be protests this Summer or fall regarding this bill.
