Very interesting. I had to edit the URL in my browser to fix the & for some reason. A Wordpress comment bug I guess. (Oh, I see why, I clicked the link in my Live email, and the emails from WordPress display the HTML literally.)

This I found especially interesting, and concerning:
“The education bracket also reveals an interesting snippet—more educated respondents are much more likely to want their MPs to oppose the changes to the Copyright Act than their respective counterparts, especially those with a high school degree or less.”

Education stops bad bills dead. It’s like Raid for bad bills.

Agreed with most here… The official opposition is so afraid of a possible election, they won’t stop anything…

Still, reading that SDA has come out swinging against C-61 in any fashion… ehhh…. well, it DOESN’T douse my flames against the bill… but sure as heck does make me want to take a shower… and scrub until I bleed.

Yeah, sure Stephen. Because immigration was such a sluff-off for the Liberal supporters they could afford to alienate them.

This Bill is going to go through. The Libs will back it unless one of two things happen; prorogue or election.

Sad. Very. Sad.

Course, I learned that there is a Libertarian candidate in Saskatoon-Rosetown-Biggar. Guess who I’ll be voting for?

Agreed. What might make a difference for the Libs though is that I think they stand to lose significant support if they pass it.

I concur with ScruffyDan. The question these days is never “Do the Liberals support Bill X?” its “Are the Liberals willing to fight an election over Bill X?” To date, the answer to that question has always been a resounding “No” no matter how destructive the consequences.
