I know it's off topic, but the reason "global warming" is confusing to people is because it leaves off the word "average". Think of it as "climate change" instead, and "extremely cold" Spring, starts to make more sense.

We just put our garden in this weekend, a couple of weeks late. Between the extremely cold spring (global warming my ass!) and the rain, we just couldn't get thing planted earlier. What a year.

I'm used to onions first thing in the Spring in my parents garden, because they leave them in all year, and they go to seed. I think they are super easy to grow :-)

My onions are growing extra-fast... I don't know what they put in the soil in Ottawa! Never seen that before.

My Chinese spices are fine too, but they are adaptable. Still waiting for the peppers...
