Ha! So you decided to join the rest of the Talk about Miley campaign! ;-)

Ellie made a post about this as well and you should see one of the comments that a Texas blogger made to me, telling me that I got it wrong. She also mentions about "beating the shit" out of her afterwards ( I believe she was talking about if Miley was her own daughter ) and about cutting someone from sternum to I can't remember where, if they messes with her kids. I guess that quote about don't mess with Texas, should be taken seriously!
You Know what Erks Me</a>

I realize that this subject is one that brings about alot of emotions and i can understand too, being that i have a daughter who will turn 14 this year.
However, I was trying to get the point across that the parents should have used their better judgement to begin with, considering the reputation Vanity Fair has for controversial front covers.
What about the picture of Miley laying across her father's lap with skin on her belly exposed. The picture that is getting all the hype is the one that shows her bare shoulders and some back. I did read that she infact had a backless shirt on and was wearing long dress pants and the photo was actually taken outdoors. I also read that the parents were shown and given final approval of the picture.

Personally for me, I don't find the picture all that offensive. On Facebook....there are far worse pictures of "everyday" kids...I was quite surprised to see some pics recently posted of kids that my kids go to school with....very intoxicated and doing stupid stuff in these pics, along with the fact that these kids are 15 and 16. Had Miley been a "regular" kid on the cover....I don't even think this would have been an issue...a projected billion dollars in revenue is at stake...and the back pedalling begins.
