My TravelMate C200 (Acer) may be “Vista capable”, but it ain’t going that route anytime soon…. it will stay Windows-XP for some of the projects I work on.
The laptop that sits in my living room, and that I do most of my blogging on, has a “Designed for Windows 2000 Professional” sticker on it but it likes Ubuntu much better. I upgraded from 7.1 to 8.04 (Hardy) over the ‘net last night and everything is kicking along just fine — when the latest of release of Windows can not only be obtained that way, but will run on an old beater like this, they can let me know :-)
