Our nation’s international reputation was forged in the fire of trench warfare. We’ve come a long way. So long, that I think few Canadians could pick out April 9th as a turning point in our history. I’m talking about the Battle of Vimy Ridge.

Hey we may be proud of our military efforts (both my grandfather & father fought in World Wars) ..but ..
our nation was forged around negotiating tables about 50 years prior to Vimy.
