With the growing season creeping up, I’m thinking a new camera may be in order to take some photos outdoors. A handy list is steering me toward another Canon Powershot. This time it will have Image Stabilization, but I’m also considering a camera where I can attach better lenses, including ones suited to extreme close ups that make for fantastic computer backgrounds.
I got a call on Saturday, my garden plot is assigned, so I should head over and plant something. I have some potatoes from the store that went to seed, so those will probably end up in the ground this week.
Here’s an old photo from August 2006. Yes, those are hail stones.

I just ordered myself an Olympus FE-310, $150 at The Source. It’s all I can afford, but from all accounts it seems like a decent camera. Looking forward to it; I’ve been camera-less for over a week now and it hasn’t been fun!

It it had been, the damage to my car wouldn’t have been worth the pittance. It’d have to hail toonies before I’d be happy.

I bougt a new Canon A720IS and I’m as happy with it as my old A70. I would take the Canon any day over the fujis, sonys and olympus that my friends and family have.
Two things I have found with this camera is make sure you have good batteries as the flash is really slow to charge on old nimh AA’s and get a high speed card if you are going to take pictures at 8mp.
