I’m going to turn out from 8-9 today.

-Seems the Bay in Winnipeg Polo Park is turning out the lights
The energy saved isn’t very significant, but the unity shown by darkening the cities together may send a message that we can work together on making real change if we keep pressure on those who deny that we can’t.

Well, thank you for admitting that the energy savings are insignificant at least. I’m having a fight with several neighbours who are convinced that this one action alone will solve all the problems and they can crank their A/C this summer as a result.

Even the neighbourhood McDonalds is apparently in on doing something with the lights tonight. Might make for interesting photography at that hour.
