I still run xp on the work laptop. Seems fairly stable, only crashes a couple times a week! There are no plans from the company to upgrade to Vista in this decade. The Mac OS in my Macbook has never given me any troubles. I feel obliged to mention that I never run virus protection, ever. And I never bother to look for security or other updates. I just happily wander about the internet, ignoring all the mal ware that targets all you pc users. Ok, done with being smug now :) You wacky pc users!

There was certainly no compelling reason to "upgrade" from semi-reliable XP that I could see. Although I suspect a good deal of the code has already been smuggled into my system via IE7 and various auto-updates. Such are the ways of Microsoft... Feh.
