Awesome Baseball Bonds Trivia

While reading through some of the interesting bits and bytes of the 21st century at CBC’s Test the Nation trivia page, I noticed this gem:

On August 7, 2007, Barry Bonds hit his 756th home run, breaking Hank Aaron’s all-time Major League Baseball record of 755. The ball was eventually purchased on an online auction by fashion designer Marc Ecko for $752,467. Ecko then branded the ball with an asterisk — a mark that suggests Bonds’ record is tainted by alleged steroid use — before giving it to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Bonds called Ecko “an idiot.”
