Now we move on to B.C. to take the Lions down. Winnipeg won in the East today on the last play of the game. The Riders led Calgary from the first offensive play of the game. Riders all the way!
I heard Brad Wall on 620 CKRM after the game, and if he doesn’t pan out as Premier, he’ll have a future in sports broadcasting.
So far in keeping with tradition, the Riders have a shot at a Grey Cup because there isn’t an NDP/CCF government in power. More likely, it has something to do with the surging Canadian dollar, and the nice raises our American players are getting by playing in Canada. Watch for the Riders and CFL to boom with talent as more players consider a career in the cold.

I have been told that Brad Wall was a Radio DJ at one time in his life.

Ridiculous game! You and Leftdog are so lucky to have gone to it! I’m really happy that the Roughriders jumped this hurdle but hopefully the momentum doesn’t stop there.
It has seemed at times that everyone in the province was only concerned with a home playoff game – naw, that shouldn’t be the prize we have our eyes on. We shouldn’t be looking for our glory at Taylor Field…err,Mosaic Stadium, but rather the Rogers Centre! I know we’ll do well in BC and hopefully we’ll get to play a beat-up Blue Bomber team before hauling the hardware back to Regina where it belongs!

I wouldn’t be surprised Huffb, they mentioned that Wall was a radio man.
Dylan, I hope you’re right, and that the team has been focused on winning in BC and Toronto.

The politicization of ‘Riders football is pure rightwing cheese.

Cheese or not venus, every single football fan in this province knows it and it is true.

Venus it’s just a funny fact. At least it’s true unlike some right-wing garbage like the one line yesterday used by someone here that “Chretien and Martin never once went to Afghanistan”. A quick link to a news story of Chretien touring with the troops there put a stop to that nonsense.

Go Riders Go! I’m looking forward to the BC game – we’ll win!

Sir Prance-a-Lot, Whats true is the team’s only won the Cup twice in 95 some-odd years. Thats a pretty weak record for any government (not that it matters
