Thank you to Anth, who took the time to write this about my Dad’s candidacy in the Wood River constituency in Saskatchewan. The election is today, November 7th, 2007.
It’s not quite as big an endorsement as Bob Rae’s of Jeff Raymond in Regina Rosemont, but it means more to me.

Ummm… Did you ever say in your blog posts that your dad was running for election? You could’ve (I’m part of the lazy electorate that doesn’t pay attention) but if not, I sense a conflict of interest on all those saskvotes blog postings. ;-)

Yup Todd, several weeks ago I mentioned. I also have SK Liberal and Green in my SaskVotes.com comment signature. It’s no secret ;-)
If there’s been a problem with any of my reasoning on my articles, people have been 100% free to point out any unfair bias.
Heck I just realized that Gormley ran HIMSELF (and won) as a PC. If there’s a problem with someone’s family member running for office, and another writing about politics, that eliminates a lot of writers. Including an editor for the Star Phoenix.

I asked on Saskvotes.com in a comment if Gormley was a card carrying SaskParty member. Never got an answer.
I’m fine with people writing about whatever they want. But I think some personal disclosure is warranted. And yeah, I saw your post earlier about your dad. :-) Sorry he didn’t get in. I’m sure its a huge amount of work to run.
