Some amusing criticism from the Conservatives about the Vision Green platform can be found on the Conservative website. I’m not sure the Conservatives realize how funny they were. Chris knows, and breaks it down.

The Dion-endorsed Green Party will blow your mind
The graphic kills me. Is the Conservative Party using Rick Mercer as a graphics consultant now?

This is one aspect of the Dion/May deal that annoys me. Both parties are destined because of the deal to suffer cross contamination, as the Cons and NDP use any comment, mistake, or policy idea to condem both parties. This gives them more bang for their buck when attacking. May taking heat because Dion did not pull the plug on the gov, and Dion taking heat because we endorse legalizing pot.
Actually I think Dion should start using he might loosen up and break out a bit.
If that doesnt work maybe speed or X will put some steel in his spine. The way he’s looking and acting he could not give Kim Campbell a decent fight. Ya hafta feel for him, he’s not evil just blah.
On the bright side these are weak criticisms considering they had 160 pages to gleen from. I do hope the editorial boards give this some fair commentary

I wouldn’t worry too much about that. I think most reasonable people recognize that Dion obviously does not endorse the Green platform and vice versa. You’re right that our opponents will continue to attack us on it, but I’m not sure they’ll get much fuel efficiency.

Whooee! Dioin sure had a tough choice. I figger he goofed an’ shoulda stood on principles an’ voted fer an election. He only looks weaker than he already looked an’ that ain’t easy.
Now is the time fer Lizzie May to climb the stump on her new hip an’ show Canajuns what a real Earth-lovin’ leader looks like. Canajuns want a gladiator. Dion ain’t it. Like Gabby sez, he needs a jolt of somethin’ — maybe crystal but more likely the aptly named Red Bull.
I don’t hold out much hope that the MSM will pay much attention to Vision Green. The MSM plays the public fer simpletons who can’t grasp too many parties or too many pages. Expect disrespect.

The MSM won’t want to learn a new platform, and so they won’t treat it seriously in the hopes the public won’t demand it from them. Since 98% of Canadians wouldn’t know what “Vision Green” means, they are unlikely to demand anything.
“but more likely the aptly named Red Bull”
As soon as he gets his “Red Bull wings”, the Cons will call him a fairy.

The graphic that the Conservatives put on their site cracks me up. What is this, the 1970s? Oooh Reefer Madness! If you showed that image to universities they’d probably overwhelming vote for either the Liberals or the Greens.

Well, that’s the first time I’ve ever heard the Green party compared to salmonella. I’m not sure if I disagree…
