Stephen Colbert running for US President (in South Carolina only) is akin to Rick Mercer running for Prime Minister of Canada by running as an independent MP.
Sadly, Hillary Clinton will win the presidential election instead. The Canadian equivalent to that, is Belinda Stronach winning a party leadership and becoming Prime Minister. Except in this case Stronach is the accused adulterer, and not Clinton.

Let me get this straight. It’s funny when a comedian pretends to be a Republican blowhard, but not when a liberal is a non-Conservative comedian?
