Saskatchewan 1971 music video

It might be a good idea to look at joining a class action lawsuit against cell phone providers. Turns out they’ve been charging a fee that the CRTC hasn’t been regulating away, and the fee probably hasn’t been going to what it was initially being charged for. Oops? The only downside is that the lawsuit is run by a Regina law firm known for, how shall I say it diplomatically… eagerly pursuing potential class action lawsuits. They committed a bit of a PR bungling by being awarded several million dollars to oversee the lawsuit against the government for Indian residential schools.
Here’s a little motivation from someone who decided that they could bike to work, and then acted on their new courage.
It’s the wrong end of Summer to get into biking to work, but if it’s still warm where you are (and maybe even if it isn’t) there’s no time like the present to get moving with a minor life change that will save you hundreds of dollars in vehicle expenses, and give you better health.

You could even end up at the point where you don’t need a car at all. Then a Car Share program may be just right for you, so you can drive when you absolutely have to (or want to).
Strike is in the air in Ontario (instead of Buzz’s tailpipe pollution), and I hope its not catching, because there’s a strike vote for my workplace in Regina coming up. We’ve been without a contract since 2006. And there’s the cancer worker’s union strike threat in Regina too I just remembered.

And Happy Birthday to you know who you are.

Gainer got a few rides in the touchdownmobile, but was short by one in the game against BC.

The Rider game was exciting, and the crowd stayed involved in the game most of the 60 minutes. The difference came down to a handful of plays that the defence could have made, and did not. A possible interception for touchdown would have atoned for the porous behaviour in the last minute of the game, which left our team down with 30 seconds remaining. Coach Austin is likely to make a big change in the next day or two, by cutting or sitting someone who didn’t do their job well enough.
I didn’t know that Rider Roundtable had to be positive, by contract. Innteresssting.
My “garden” is now potted. I forgot to pick any of my tiny radishes, so I don’t know how they turned out. I’d guess not well since the leaves were mostly bug eaten weeks ago. I took a friend some Prickley Pear today to try to get one growing for him. Last night was warm enough to leave the plants outside, but I brought them in tonight.
I wonder how they produce such garbage for news, when they are a professional organization. A part time blogger can do a better job of informing people than CNN does.
Here’s an interesting “Latest News” story they did about wanting food you see.
Right under that was this “news” story:
“Twinkies are a marvel of food engineering”
Maybe CNN is the news you want, just because you see it, not because it’s good for you!

Chickenpoop politicians are ducking out of what should be mandatory events if they want people to take them seriously.

I’m not sure I’d trust an analyst or reporter who in talking about the declining US dollar, fails to mention that the country’s largest trading partner has a currency trading at par when there used to be a large American dollar advantage a few short years ago. It’s those crafty Eurohpeeans they gotta worry ’bout I guess.
In the United States, a battered dollar is certain to contribute to inflation and squeeze Americans’ pocketbooks.
A weaker U.S. currency, besides pushing up the price of foreign goods, also drives up the price of commodities priced in dollars, such as oil, which have a big impact on consumer spending by Americans.
But a weaker dollar will also hurt overseas businesses. Companies that export goods to the United States may not only face weakened demand, they could also suffer tighter profit margins.
Commonfund’s Strauss believes that many foreign firms have probably already accounted for the dollar’s recent decline in their financial forecasts. Still, he warned, many of them will struggle - threatening economies overseas.
“That might be more important than our inflationary effect,” he said.
So, the major concern is that the US economy will hurt trade overseas? Yeahhhhh, suuuure.
