On one hand I have a 2 year old battery in a lightly used iPod shuffle that is twice the size, but it's been reliable and plugs right into a USB port and stores 512MB. On the other hand I have a new iPod shuffle (with warranty I'd guess?) and twice as much space, but untested and unknown battery life/features compared to the other older one.
