Both 620ckrm.com and cjme.com featured the video on their websites. I really like the song, I don’t know if I’d heard it before last week when they publicized it. YouTube is a wonderful thing…

That is fabulous…..Jim was such a talented artist. I was working in broadcasting at that time at CKRM and played that song many times. It is as fresh today as it was 36 years ago. I have a mint copy of the 45 and jacket in my collection and listen to it every so often. It makes and old ex-pat miss home.

Whooee! Thankee kindly fer postin’ that, Sasky. I think I heard it back in ‘73 when the first Mrs. JimBobby an’ I was on a crosscountry motor trip with our 18 month old son in a VW Beetle.
I ain’t sure if every province had that sorta song around that time. Here in Ontariariario, we had “Give me aplace to stand… and a place to grow. A place to stand, a place to grow. Ontariariario.” There was a risin’ tide of Canajun nationalism in the early 70’s an’ I reckon these songs were part o’ that.

Thanks for posting this — I remember this song now, but hadn’t thought of it for years. Wonder why it disappeared?
