I’m happy to have been a (small) part of the launch of the new SaskLiberal website. I’m also excited that such a talented website creator is on the Sask Liberal team. You may recognize Wayne’s name in the blogosphere, as the programmer and former owner of Progressive Bloggers.

Saskatchewan Liberals launch first phase of new media strategy
In preparation for the upcoming provincial election, the Saskatchewan Liberal Party relaunched the party’s website on Thursday, bringing the latest new media technologies to the forefront of political campaigns.
“The old command-and-control style election campaign is, in my opinion, kind of going out the window,” said leader David Karwacki in an interview with the Saskatoon StarPhoenix.
“I think it is a real tool for democracy where people can go back and really participate as opposed to this message managing that has occurred in the last number of decades in elections.”The website
now has new interactive features, including VoterSpace where voters can interact with the party during the campaign and “Ask David”, where the leader will answer voters questions about anything on the campaign trail. Other new elements of
the site include Facebook groups, and a YouTube channel which the
party is actively using.Bloggers will also factor into the party’s communications strategy. Through the VoterSpace feature, the party will work closely with bloggers to connect them with the campaign.
The party website can be found at: www.saskliberal.ca.

Sweet deal. Congrats on getting the site up. Now if only they had a chance to win one seat.
I went to high school with Nick Schenher, who’s running in Regina Douglas Park. Good luck Nick.

I think there is a chance actually. The NDP are so far in the political wasteland in this province too, that at some point the voters will realize this, and remembering the Devine government fraud years, put a few Liberals in government to keep the Sask Party honest.

In all seriousness, and without hyperbole, the Liberals will be winning a seat. Whenever we go door knocking, or talk with people on the street, as we’ve been doing, there’s definitely a desire for change and people are starting to realize that voting Liberal is an option. Look at the property tax announcement - I think the NDP and the Sask Party were really upset that we’re leading the agenda on the housing crisis.
