I took out several of my plants from the flower garden and potted them on Thursday night just hours before a killer ~-5C frost. It doesn’t usually get so cold in the middle of September, but the last week has been down right chilly at night and in the day sometimes too. Friday afternoon was pleasant out, but it was nippy by 9:00 PM. I composted half of my tomato crop, which consisted of a total of two dime sized green fruits. I can’t wait to see what will survive indoors.
I need to remember to give a friend a spider plant, after they commented on how much they wanted one for their living room/kitchen divider.

A little off topic here but has anyone checked out Saskboy’s photo gallery?

It’s something to behold and we urge anyone who can, to visit it.
On the frost, -5C is impressive; 1992 was cool all summer.

At least you got the two tomatoes. If you make sure the tomatoes have good light 16 hours a day, they will probably do ok. They do need at least 8 hours of total darkness also. Even a night light will distrub their cycle.

I was worried about frost with the tomatoes the other night. Luckily, it didn’t happen. Our tomatoes are coming along nicely but still green and we would prefer not to pull them yet.
