Months ago I was impressed by how Senator Leahy put a beat down on the US AG after he refused to answer questions regarding the Maher Arar scandal. Now he’s putting what I hope are the finishing touches on the A. General’s last days in office.

Leahy is taking Gonzo to the hole every time down the court now.

Let’s hope so. Cool blog.

Exactly Al. I wish Leahy didn’t look as old as dirt, and got more air time in the States on CNN etc. If Jon Stewart hasn’t interviewed him yet, he really should.

Leahy is very low key, which I feel is essential for a senator in his position. If he were making the rounds on cable-news every weekday evening, his credibility would be easily attacked, they’d say he was hypocritical…as he’s faulting the Bush administration for politicizing the Justice Dept, they’d accuse him of doing the same thing.
I live right beneath Vermont, and would trade Kerry-Kennedy for Lamont-Sanders in two seconds. Much to be proud of in terms of that state.
Thanks for checking out my blog! Want to do a link exchange? I’ll post Abandoned Stuff on deadissue right now. Peace - Al

Thanks Saskboy! Leahy is moving forward…he gave Gonzo a day to revise his testimony, but that never happened. So today there’s more talk about a special prosecutor (Orin Hatch R-UT may even be on board!) - and they’ve supponead Karl Rove.
