Mmmmm do it for the donut; gold

In the ever growing buzz around The Simpsons movie being released this month, I learned from CBC that there’s a giant chalk fertility carving in England where a Simpsons fan/artist has created a giant Homer carving. “Do it in the donut,” is the expression of the day for Homer fans. I think a giant mini-golf course would have been a more appropriate carving (and you need to know Simpsons trivia and know where Bart was conceived, to get that joke).

I’m surprised that the land adjacent was allowed to paint there, if only temporarily. It must not be owned by the government, who surely wouldn’t risk an area of historical significance by caving in to dollars from Fox?

Have a look at the older carving from space.

If this mining company is anything like the one that’s displacing Guatemalan farmers using death squads by proxy, then I certainly don’t blame the protesters for wanting rid of Canada’s influence in their country.
