My god the photo of parkerview took my breth. My familey lived in parkerview for years. I remember visiting my grandparent farm growing up. I havent been to parkerview for about 25 years. How i found the photo i was looking for my familey. the photo makes me sad becouse i can’t find my familey that are still living. I’m sad to hear parkerview is now a gost town. I need to know is the post office \ store still open if so what is the address? thay my remember my familey and know where thay went.
I have many fond memories of Parkerview…my grandparents lived there for many years and also my Aunt Mary and Uncle John. We spent many summers there as children during summer holidays….last time I was there was about 10 years ago :)

I grew up on a farm near parkerview. Sad to see it as a ghost town but nice to see it on line. The stories that were heard in Koshman’s general store were better than any published newspaper but seemed to change from day to day…….Ahhh the gossip of a little town. Every time I return to town ,although abandoned, can’t help bring a smile.
Hi Can you find me a few pictures of my late grandparents, Joacob and Julia Wehnan’s grave tombstone cemetry in Parkerview, Saskatchewan? If so, let me know as soon as possible by email to shalek7 shalek7@shaw.ca

my mother is from parkerview. she was born in 1917 in shiho(sp?). is there a graveyard in parkerview? if so, then my grandfather and one uncle are buried there.
thanks for the pictures! i haven’t been there in fifty years but i think i recognize the store where we bought candy.
I am writing this from info from Tony Gulash who was born there in 1928 and lived there till 10 years old when moved to Swan River, MB
The cemetery is the first corner of Parkerview as the road goes crossing the end of the tracks. there’s a church and turn the the right about a miles and half on the right side.
Alexander and Theresa Gulash are buried in Parkerview Cemetery. The Church name is St. Elizabeth (Roman Catholic)
Visited the homestead a week/10 days ago owned by Mazarz (spellling)
We just happened upon the town and on our way to yorkton and stopped to look around …what was the town like in it’s hey day…stopped to look around the cemetary and noticed a lot of younger peoples grave sites…was there a fire..or some illness that went thru town?
would apprciate ant info
My Mom sent me this link and I cried and smiled at the same time. My grandparents were John and Mary Koshman who owned Koshman’s General Store. For a while my great uncle lived in the Station house (the beige house in the picture). After that Pauluk (spelling?) family lived there and I loved playing with the kids and their animals. I believe the post office is still open, but the store has not been for many years. I am so glad that others have good memories of Parkerview. It was and still is one of my favorite places.
Abandon the fruitcake. Make your own holiday cards.

I didn’t see where the cemetery was, but perhaps someone else will read this blog post and be able to help.
