An interesting bit of trivia, but of the blogs that are shown before the Read More link, including myself and Kyle who I displayed in the first list, there are 4 Saskatchewan bloggers who I spotted.
The weirdest thing about this is that there’s another blogger whose photo looks just like me. I even thought it was me and I know–more or less–what I look like. What a blow to discover I am not the unique wonder I’d always assumed.
Hi, I come here form my blog stats. Amazing idea, you’re right. I would like to know how I could post such a list - the image lists with links, I mean - on my weblog… Thanks!
Hi Aldian and Jane. Borneo, that’s amazing. I found it strange to that I knew the faces of so many, including the bloggers right beside me [in the original display of the list]. But then I remembered that Tino must have built his photo collection using a list that had bloggers that I was familiar with, possibly the Canadian Blog Awards.
Hello Angelica, and Dragos.
Dragos, here are the instructions.
Go to the 2000 Bloggers website.
In your web browser pick View on the menu, and View Page Source [or something named like that].
You’ll see the HTML code for the entire page, which includes the links and pictures.
Copy the long line from CENTER to / CENTER with the IMG SRC and A tags in between it. The line is very long, and has all of the links, and photos.
Paste the HTML into your blog entry [into the HTML editor screen], taking care to put a “cut” or “Read More” in the middle so your entry isn’t much too long and won’t slow down people loading your blog’s main page. The MORE goes in between an / A and the next blogger’s link which starts with an A HREF tag.
The proper way to do this would be to download the photos to your own photo server, but for simplicty’s sake we skip this step so that Tino is hosting the photos. He probably doesn’t mind the added attention you posting his photos will bring him, so ought to overlook this “bandwidth theft” (I saw him say he’s got an unlimited bandwidth account for this project).
I had the same experience as “Borneochica” — someone else looked just like me to me!! I clicked through and found someone else’s site and was thinking I had been bamboozled.
I came here via my wordpress dashboard, where this link showed up. Thank you for displaying the project on your site.

I came from my blog’s stats. And I just joined today. I think it’s safe to say it will be pretty effective. Many thanks to Tino.

I followed back here from my server logs and I’m writing a post about it now. That’s me second to last on the last row. :)

I think I’m officially the ugliest dude on the list. :-)

Hi Eric, Kim, Katie, and Tinu. Eric, you should get one of those ladies to confirm, but you’re not ugly.

Hey, Saskboy. Thanks for the link love.
And Eric, I beg to differ. I have to be the ugliest dude on the list. I even posed with that fact in mind. :)
