Kinsella’s best and worst contest

Thanks to Olaf for drawing my attention to Kinsella’s blog Dec. 18 entry.

Hi Mr. Kinsella,

In regard to your Dec. 18 blog posting asking for reader contributions, I have to nominate your www.iamnotafraid.ca campaign as the year’s Most memorable media stunt. It inspired me to do a spin-off parody media stunt of my own, and had a bit less success attracting media attention from it, only interesting the Sun and Star, but not the Post or Globe. I can only think of Garth Turner’s media stunting that could compare, so I think it fair you give yourself a pat on the back for best media stunt of 2006.

As for biggest story of 2007, you could pick any from this list that I’ve already made, but I’ll select this:
At the end of 2007: “The Big 5 Canadian banks, merged into the Royal Scotian Montreal Commerce Bank of Toronto. The new service fee for entering the bank branches proved too costly for most Canadians. As a result Zellers sold out of piggy banks, and had to close permanently.” Or, otherwise something to do with Iraq/Afghanistan imploding further, is a safe bet for top story.

Best blog I nominate Olaf of www.prairiewrangler.blogspot.com
and Worst blog I’ll [...keep to myself for the moment, unless Kinsella selects my pick because it's *hurting Canada*].

The biggest Canadian story of 2006 is without doubt the election where Stephen Harper was elected to the New Government of Canada.

I’m sure you have plenty of other suggestions, so I’ll leave my picks at those, and wish you good night.
