I’ve enabled the feature that allows my blog’s readers to optionally “register” for my blog. The perks include a look at the Word Press Dashboard, giving a bit of a behind the scenes look at Abandoned Stuff. You can also leave comments that bypass the spam filter in nearly all situations, and edit your comments made while you’re logged in.
If I like the cut of your jib, it’s not hard to make you a contributing writer at Abandoned Stuff, once you already have an account here.
Note that this registration is optional. It’s not mandatory, so don’t register if you don’t want to be cool. It’s a long way off before I even consider requiring all commentators register to post comments.
Enabling ‘registered commentators only’, winds up in getting little to no feedback, like what happened on MyBlahg.com. And I value feedback and discussion, and try to put nothing in the way of that on my blog.

On Monday I went to Neudorf, and here’s a bit of “nothing north of Neudorf”:

The full resolution image is over 11 Megapixels big, and compressed to moderate quality was 1.08MB. That’s a whole lot of something for what most people would consider “nothing” scenery. I didn’t put the full resolution image online, so if you’re interested in seeing it you’ll just have to email me or register for my blog ;-)

Nice picture. I think the prairies are beautiful!
yeah, you might want to rethink your whole commentators thingy…I have attracted one off of his\her nut
and I mean we are ALL loony to an extent, but, {cue the music from Xfiles} , yeah, WOW

Oh, it is on my latest thread Birthday Wishes…which is a shame as i wrote it for a dear friend and someone off their meds hijacked it

I saw that, but still I welcome all commentators as long as they try to keep the potty mouth words like poop and pee, to a minimum. Loony nutbars, right wing yokels, and disgruntled employees are all welcome.

Ok, good, nice to know i am welcome then ;-)
so how come you didn’t mention your favourite birthday cake?

I let the troll scare me off, and decided I didn’t need to draw their attention to my blog too ha ha ;-)
But incidentally it’s probably chocolate cake with vanilla icing. Otherwise a pie.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to Neudorf. I have been to Swift Current, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, , & Regina. I have been to the smaller towns of Cadillac, Neidpath, Archwel and a few others. I have family over there.

Neudorf is off the beaten path between Regina and Yorkton, south of highway 10. I lived in a residence of 250 people at university, with at least one person from there though. Bright guy too, he wound up in a publication for youth working in Saskatchewan - a guy standing next to complicated engineering equipment.

i went to school with several people from Neudorf. Also I didn’t go to school with him, and I don’t even know him but Jarret Stoll who plays for the Edmonton Oilers is from Neudorf. Neudorf also used to have the best New Years Eve cabaret around. I once saw a guy who was handcuffed in the back seat of a police cruiser smash out one of the cruisers rear door windows with his feet and escape. ahhhh good times

Hehe, that story was more interesting than mine about the town…

Good call…I fear choc. cake with vanilla icing would have REALLY pushed the troll over the edge.
Last night I had to go pick up my mother from the airport…you can imagine my relief to come home and NOT find a rabbit in a pot on my stove!!! :)
