Minister Ambrose reportedly “slammed” the Liberals for inaction on climate change pollution. The “government recognized it couldn’t work with the measures” in place because of the Liberals, according to Canada’s New Conservative Government. And Liberal targets were unworkable, and deceptive, because we weren’t going to meet our Kyoto targets.
Canada’s Conservatives are different from Liberals. Conservatives set realistic goals that our grandchildren can meet when they feel like it (,and need to because their environment has been turned upside down by our consumption and pollution). And Liberals take action right away (,telling Canadians what they want to hear, while making only minor adjustments in non-key areas). Anyone can see those are two different approaches, and only the Conservatives plan can bring about real change in approximately 6984 days according to the handy Climate Clock on my blog’s sidebar.
We can’t hurry progress. It’s not as if the world is on fire. And hell hasn’t frozen over yet.
Far N’ Wide has an excellent writeup on the day’s disgraceful events that should be front page news across Canada. It’s painful to have this Bush-lite government representing Canada internationally. It’s like we went to the Olympics, and sent Don Cherry as our entire men’s hockey team.

All I can say is Minister Ambrose made me sick and ashamed of being a Canadian.
