The Liberals had Carolyn Parish, and the Conservatives have Garth Turner. Garth had a blog. His blog is no more (possibly temporarily? -UPDATE a couple hours later the site is back up. It had too many hits for the server claims Garth.).
Here’s the Google cache of his blog. His entire site is blocked when I checked it during lunch after hearing the news of his disciplining.
The Progressive Bloggers are all over this story. It’s significant, not only to bloggers, but to people within a party who are concerned with speaking their mind and representing their constitutents.

The NDP has Bev Desjarlais. Remember that.
An MP can speak his mind. As long as he doesn’t break Caucus confidentiality.

Suzanne, I’d suspect Garth was only trying to abide by the Prime Minister’s stated policy of maintaining an open and transparent government that is accountable.
Ross, yes I was. I thought he was going to bite my head off. He sure didn’t take the polling news too well since it’s Conservatives and Liberals that are losing to the Greens in Ontario. There’s some speculation that Garth might join the Greens now, but I won’t hold my breath, only crossing my fingers.

Desjarlais wasn’t turfed from the party, Suzanne, she lost the nomination. Big difference.
