Well Dreamhost or some part of the Internet on the way to my website’s home server was down for a couple hours today. It’s back up now, after about the 5th major outage this year so far.
It’s the weekend, and I’m headed to Saskatoon tomorrow for the Saskblogs BBQ at Diefenbaker Park. I’m hoping the weather holds out and it doesn’t sprinkle rain like the 30% chance forecast is calling for tomorrow in Toon Town. At least it will be warm enough to not care if it gets damp for a few minutes, and I’m taking my umbrella.
Tonight at 11:00 PM, my blog turned 60,000. This includes visitors to my older site at sask.sasktelwebsite.net from about 2004 until today.

Are you on Dreamhost? I had wondered about them. The prices seem awful good, but I want to know about reliability and support before I choose a new host.

Yes, I subrent from a friend who uses Dreamhost. They keep communication open when there’s a problem, but they’ve had too many problems this year from L.A. power failures.
