A few months ago another Canadian blogger reported that his former worksite had an unreported oil spill.
Jacobs Super Patented Brain Thoughts ยป Update on the Oil Spill Coverup story
I’ve spoken with Jacob and have been told that the investigation is ongoing… I was also told that the likely fine for this kind of massive spill is less than $10,000. Jacob faces a probable larger liability as a whistleblower for the spill, than the company responsible for actually spilling the oil and ruining the land.
That a government would so lowly value the land that is their resource, their future, and home, is a crime. When Jacob has an update I’ll post it, and I hope you will too, until the government and businesses see that we value our homes more than their bottom lines.

Yeah that is unbelievable. Goes to show just how much power the oil and gas industry really does wield over the Canadian (esp. Albertan) governments. Quite a shame.
