Bush and Cheney both were approving of a plot to discredit a war protestor who brought to public light the deception they were using to frame the attack on Iraq as a defence against Weapons of Mass Destruction.
I don’t know what more can be said on this issue. It’s been blazingly obvious to anyone who’s paid attention to the Downing Street Memo leak, or the indictment of “Scooter” Libby who worked for Dick Cheney in the VP office. It will be interesting yet frustrating to see how Bush lovers will try to defend this national security breach used in a political way to discredit the spouse of a loyal CIA operative while it endangered her life and those of her co-workers.
Coupled with the illegal wiretapping conducted by the NSA on American soil, it’s astounding that Bush isn’t in jail right now, or out on bail.
