Watch TV Online, and shoot it yourself with friends. It’s a fun way to spend a few evenings, especially if you have a camera buff, actor, and video editor in your group. It can sure beat a night out drinking in both enjoyment and the amount of money you’re left with at the end.

I’m not into the Delicious social bookmark craze yet, but I think it has something to do with having a list of the most popular links on the web made available to you, based on what people around the world are linking to that day. You can also get to your bookmarks anywhere on the web if you’re willing to sign into the service and keep your stuff there.
Another theory is to use a blogroll, but that’s more for just bookmarking blogs such as with blogrolling.com. One who’s made my blogroll is Samantha Burns.

Does CBC.ca run itself? It seems money is coming from nowhere or another operating budget, to run the CBC’s most important growing communication medium.
And on the topic of CBC, there are interesting CBC bloopers available on this other blog.

If you’re in the USA it’s time to make Sony pay for messing up your computer and selling you defective CDs. Sony BMG infected music CDs with DRM designed to stop your computer from burning CDs, or copying the music you bought to your computer. They used a rootkit to try and hide their deceit from antivirus and antispyware programs, and opened infected computers to attack from other malicious software.

McAfee attacked Microsoft Excel the other day. It’s not hard to see why I don’t recommend their AV products, or Symantec products either. They are in the game to make lots of money by scaring you, not by keeping you safe.

I’m headed to Newfoundland this July, and I thought I’d link to the Newfoundland and Labrador blogroll so I can learn some of the Newfie perspective before I head over to the Rock.

Some perspective from a gal with Newfoundland roots: the word “Newfie” is a touchy one. Some Newfoundlanders use it to describe themselves; some find the word insulting. Wikipedia has some background info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newfie
Enjoy your visit to Newfoundland. :)

Thanks SkylarKD. I kinda suspected or knew that, but I was lazy and didn’t want to type in Newfoundlanders. Or is it Newfoundland and Labradorrers? ;-)
The same debate goes on in the Trekkie world. Trekkie is offensive to some because of it’s Groupie/slut origional connotation that some still see the world holding. But like the use of “Nigga” in Hip Hop music to co-opt a duerrogatory word, many Trekkies are saying they are fine with their own label, and don’t want to be known as Trekkers which the stuckup Star Trek fans prefer. So were you a Newfie or Newfer? ;-)

lol – I didn’t want to bring up the other ‘N’ word, but I was thinking about it. Didn’t know about the ‘Trekkie’ controversy though!
Despite the official provincial name change, I think most people think of themselves as either Newfoundlanders OR Labradorians (it’s just too long to use both!).
As for me, I’d be considered somewhat of a Mainlander or CFA (Come From Away), because I didn’t move there until I was 12, but since my parents, grandparents, and oodles of relatives are native Newfoundlanders, I have enough Newfoundland blood that I haven’t had to kiss a cod. ;)
